The Writing Lab is thrilled to announce the Winners of the Summer 2011 One-Sentence Story Contest!
A corpse, a zombie and one bad teacher took this semester’s One-Sentence Story Contest by storm, providing us with another close race! (Next we’ll have to see what happens when all three of them walk into a bar.) The Writing Lab and The Learning Center are, therefore, pleased to announce this semester’s One-Sentence Story contest winners!
In 3rd place: With his brain just like a dumpster, I fill it up…. – Caridad H.
In 2nd place: It seemed like the crying never stopped as I looked around to see everyone standing with all black on. – Kashona S.
And, in the number one spot…
1st place goes to: She slept and never woke but had a wake. – Ulexus S.
Congratulations to the winners and congratulations to all our participants. The contest was an overwhelming success due completely to all of your phenomenal sentence-stories.
Caridad, Kashona and Ulexus: Please stop by The Learning Center to collect your prizes. You should all be very proud.
Thank you to Professors Callender, Ferreira, Sinopoli, Schacht and Sultanik for their enthusiastic work with the students and their continued support of The Writing Lab.
We all look forward to what exciting tales next semester will bring.
Christian De Matteo
Instructional Coordinator for The Writing Lab
