This spring 33 new members were inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), bringing the total number of the College of Westchester's PTK membership to approximately 170 since our affiliation began in 2006.
Our Phi Theta Kappa members perform a significant amount of community service. In the past, they have raised funds for St. Jude’s Research Hospital, have held food drives as well as a school supplies drive for a local shelter. They also have partnered with the Student Government Association in a “Toys for Tots” drive for White Plains Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. Currently, they are again working with the Student Government Association to collect items for our military overseas.
Also, 8 new members were inducted into CW's new Sigma Beta Delta (SBD) Honor Society this spring.
This honor society is for BBA students only. For entrance into this society students must have completed a minimum of 93 credits and be in the top 20% of their class – a real honor to be sure.
