Recently, Dr. Smikle was accepted as a member of the NYS Board of Regents Standard-Setting Committee. This committee will work with the Deputy Commissioner of Education for New York State, David Abrams, to create a new English Regents exam. Dr. Smikle will meet with other English language and literature subject matter experts in the coming weeks to launch this statewide project, which will culminate in a new English Regents examination.
Dr. Smikle, for those of you who don’t know, is Director of Assessment and Associate Dean of Baccalaureate Studies.
