
The CW Community Partnership spent a Saturday morning participating in volunteer orientation at Pets Alive Westchester in Elmsford, New York. In addition to getting a tour and becoming acclimated to the no-kill sanctuary, they learned to properly handle the dogs, cats, and rabbits; met with staff and other volunteers; and learned additional ways they could volunteer in the future. After orientation, mostly everyone excitedly walked the dogs, but they look forward to returning to Pets Alive to interact with the curious and cuddly cats, too!
Pets Alive is a no-kill animal sanctuary with locations in Elmsford, New York; Middletown, New York; and a future location in Puerto Rico. Pets Alive relies solely on the generosity of its donors to take care of its precious animals.
