CW Goes Red!

On February 1st, The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women launched the America Goes Red Challenge.  They were challenging America to Go Red bigger than ever this year by wearing red and painting the community or workplace red.

In recognition of this challenge, medical professor Dr. Shamva Wright along with Go Red for Women challenged CW's faculty and staff to decorate their offices in red to support the fight to end heart disease in women.  The competition took place from February 1st - February 27th, and the office with the most spirit would receive a prize.

20 offices at the college took part in the competition as each office was unique it its own special way.  Judges Stacy Larson, Ruth Best, Lorraine Mastracchio and Janet Thompson had a challenging time picking the winners.  We congratulate the following winners:

Most Original: Anna Bravo
Most Spirited: Financial Aid
Go Red for Women winner: Nellie Capellan and Kim Fortuna

Through fundraising and donations from The Allied Health Club and The Financial Aid Department, Shamva was able to donate $200 to The American Heart Association.

Thank you to all who helped turn CW red!
