CW TUITION SAVINGS ADVANTAGES

Today more than ever we are doing whatever we can to keep college affordable for our students. 

There are many incredible tuition savings advantages that are worth sharing. 

All current students and all new students will benefit from a tuition freeze throughout 2014.

The CW Scholarship Committee gave over $4 million in scholarships to deserving students last year.

Over the past few years, we have tripled scholarship awards from The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation. 

CW has cut textbook costs while maintaining and even improving upon the educational experience by using open source materials in many classes free to students.

We have expanded our Jumpstart program.  High School Juniors and Seniors who take these courses can save thousands in tuition whether they attend CW or elsewhere.

The Summer Bridge@CW program for incoming freshman and CW Boot Camp for incoming adults allows students to complete remedial classes prior to enrollment at no cost for the course.  Yes, it’s FREE.  This saves incoming students significant funds.   

CW offers a generous credit transfer policy (up to 90 credits into the BBA program) along with options to transfer credits from various types of prior education.  Credits may also be transferred from earned certifications, CLEP exams, UExcel Exams, Excelsior College Exams, high school and college articulations, Advanced Placement Program credits National and American College Credit Recommendation Service, International Baccalaureate Program, Test-Out exemptions, portfolio evaluation.

Military training and experience can translate to college credit through military occupations, credit-by-exam programs and certification programs.  Our participation in the Yellow Ribbon program helps veterans with a gap in funding cover their costs.
