Guest Speaker Visits "Adult Development in the Workplace" Class
Students of the “Adult Development in the Workplace” class received the visit of Yolanda Candelario to talk about “Career Transitions and Entrepreneurship.” Yolanda has 20 years of experience in the business industry, working for some of the top Financial 500 companies in the US. Her long career as a business leader and independent financial advisor was inspiring to students who are looking forward to become business leaders themselves, “be open minded to listen, take knowledge, and give back… and that's why I'm here, to give back," said Yolanda. Some other topics in the conversation included business and investment, responsibilities of becoming a leader and the importance of being persistent, “If you fail, it just means it didn’t work out, failing can also be something positive,” added Yolanda.
