Flipped Class Competitive Grant

Please join us in congratulating Alexa Ferreira and Dr. Chris Nwosisi on being the recipients of CW’s Flipped Class Competitive Grant!

The grant program was developed to encourage a structured pilot of flipped instruction techniques during a portion of selected courses in the Winter Day Term, with the ultimate goal of learning how this instructional technique might help to improve learning outcomes.

The Flipped Classroom was identified this month in the EDUCAUSE/NMC Horizon Report as one of the “6 Most Important Technologies To Impact Teaching and Learning in the Next 5 Years”. In fact, the Flipped Classroom is identified in this widely recognized annual report as one of two technologies targeted for widespread adoption in the next 1 to 2 years. The growing adoption of flipped instruction techniques is further attested to in “Flipped Class – The (1 Min.) Movie“.
