Congratulations!

Congratulations Jenny Arpi and Louis Procaccini for participating at The Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism Spring Conference!

In its eighth year, The Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism held its annual conference for undergraduate and graduate students on Liberty, Free Markets and Moral Character. The Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism is America’s first and only university-based teaching and research center dedicated to exploring the moral foundations of capitalism. The institute accepts students, age 18-24, who are new to economics and the freedom philosophy and are interested in learning more about the world around them.

The annual conference takes place this coming Memorial Day Weekend (May 22 – May 25), and will be held on the campus of Clemson University in Clemson, SC. For the first time, this event will be co-sponsored by the Foundation for Economic Education. Director of CW College Library and Learning Services, Monecia Samuel and Ann Bikofsky, CW Chairperson/Accounting Department, assisted Jenny. Jyoti Ruta and Stacy Larson assisted Louis Procaccini, a current CW BBA student, in submitting the application to attend the four day seminar. As part of the application criteria, they also had to provide essays. Students are selected from applications submitted from all over the world. Jenny and Louis will be granted a scholarship to cover tuition, room and board, and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the seminar stating that they received 34 hours of contact time.
