Congratulations to Erica Schacht who has recently been appointed the faculty rank of Assistant Professor.
Faculty rank increases at The College of Westchester are earned through the demonstration of teaching excellence, commitment to service to the CW college community and by embracing a scholar practitioner model through ongoing professional development.
Erica has been teaching in the General Education department for 3 years. Erica mainly teaches first and second semester students, which she enjoys and says “I have the ability to influence their experience at CW, in a positive manner”. Her immense passion for teaching is the driving force behind wanting to make a difference and Erica feels that CW allows her to do so, especially because the philosophy is that we truly do care about our students and want to see them be successful. Currently, Erica is pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education Leadership, so that she can continue to learn and improve upon ways to continue to educate as well as inspire her students towards continued success.
