Connecting, Serving and Growing

The CW Enactus team is always looking for innovative ways to improve and help our community. This week, they received the visit of Elena DeForest to talk about non-profit needs in Westchester County. Elena works as a Volunteer Referral Manager for Volunteer New York, a non-profit organization whose mission is to assist non-profit organizations in developing and recruiting volunteers for their programs.  One of the main aspects of Elena’s work is to work directly with prospective volunteers to identify volunteer opportunities that best match their interests, skills and goals. The CW Enactus team found similarities with Elena’s work and started developing ways to partner and work together with Volunteer New York.

As part of their upcoming events, the Enactus team made plans to visit WFAS radio next week for an interview with Prof. Noel D’allaco. The radio show provides business advice to listeners, and focuses on business news and topics that matter most to the community.

Enactus is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders.
